Find some time to create your quilt square about your family.  May your Thanksgiving be blessed with lots of love, joy, and peace.

Tomorrow is Patricia Polacco's "The Keeping Quilt."  It has a "coming to America and beginning a new life" theme.  Draw some pictures or symbols that tell about your family.  Bring them to class.

Spend 15 minutes going over your notes for the post test.  Using another 15 minutes to read "Hatchet" is also a good idea.  I'm so pleased with so many high pre test scores.  You are working well.

Read "Hatchet" and study your notes.  We will take the pre-test tomorrow.  Do your best to learn about Gary Paulsen's realistic fiction, especially sequence and cause/effect.

Homework's in PB.  Do not write the news report, but practice vocabulary.  Also, practice word origins.  First read, "Hatchet."   Enjoy.
