Plants grow everywhere in a rain forest - including on other plants. Some epiphytes (mosses, lichens, ferns, orchids, cacti, and bromeliads exist in abundance in cloud forests. Rain water gets trapped in some epiphytes and forms pools of water high in the trees, which the poison arrow frogs use to raise their tadpoles.
